Refund & Returns Policy

Thank you for shopping at Pickguard.co.uk. We take pride in our craftsmanship, attention to detail, and the quality of every product we sell – whether it’s a one-off handcrafted pickguard or a stocked accessory.


1. Custom-Made Pickguards

All of our pickguards are made to order and are considered custom-made products. Each one is individually cut, finished, and built to your chosen material, configuration, and specification.

Because these products are created specifically for you, they are not eligible for return or refund if you change your mind, order incorrectly, or decide the item no longer suits your needs.

This is in line with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, which exclude custom-made or clearly personalised goods from the standard 14-day right to cancel.

That said, our goal is always to ensure you’re completely satisfied with your order. While we can’t offer refunds on custom work, we will do everything we can to help resolve any issues you encounter – whether that’s offering advice, making adjustments, or providing a discount on a re-order if needed. We want to create lasting partnerships with musicians that span decades, and if our customers aren’t happy, we aren’t either.

If your pickguard arrives faulty, damaged, or not as described, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order with details and photographs so we can arrange a replacement or refund.

We recommend double-checking your guitar model, measurements, and layout before ordering. If you’re unsure, please get in touch – we’re always happy to help confirm details before we start production.


2. Other Stocked Items

For all other stocked items – such as pickguard materials, guitar strings, hardware, tools, and accessories etc – standard return rights apply.

You have 14 days from the date you received your item to return it for a refund or exchange, provided it is:

  • Unused and in its original condition

  • Returned in the original packaging

Once your return is received and inspected, we’ll notify you and, if approved, issue a refund to your original payment method. Refund processing times depend on your payment provider.

If you wish to exchange an item for a different size, type, or colour, please contact us to arrange the exchange. You’ll be responsible for any price difference and return shipping costs.


Return Shipping

You are responsible for paying your own shipping costs for returning eligible items. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping may be deducted from it.


Damaged or Defective Items

If any item arrives damaged or defective, please contact us as soon as possible (within 7 days of receipt) with clear photos of the issue. We’ll assess the situation promptly and offer a replacement or refund where appropriate.


How to Initiate a Return

To initiate a return or report a problem, please contact luke@pickguard.co.uk for authorisation and further instructions.


Additional Information

  • Custom-made or personalised pickguards cannot be returned or refunded unless faulty or incorrect.

  • Stocked (non-custom) items can be returned within 14 days under the conditions above.

  • We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not meet these criteria.

  • We are not responsible for lost or stolen packages during return shipping.
